yaw

The rotation of a vehicle around its vertical axis; the difference between the vehicle’s intended direction and the actual direction of travel.

yaw control

Minimizing the slip or difference between the desired or steered direction of a vehicle and actual direction a vehicle is moving.

yield strength

An engineering term used to describe the amount of force required to permanently deform a material. Yield strength occurs at the material’s elastic limit—the maximum force a material can withstand and still return to its original configuration.
